  1. One of the foremost priorities of the college is the continuous development of scientific output, particularly in strengthening the quality of research, addressing many challenges faced by society and the labor market, and keeping pace with modernization and global advancements.
  2. Establishing advanced laboratories, including those dedicated to tissue culture, microbiological studies, and pathological diagnostics, in addition to providing all requirements for conducting surgical operations. These laboratories are to be equipped with state-of-the-art devices to meet the needs of the labor market.
  3. Establishing a Veterinary Teaching Hospital equipped with the latest tools and technologies, in order to provide students with greater learning opportunities, particularly in clinical training. This will contribute to preparing veterinarians with sufficient knowledge, skills, and competence to deliver high-quality veterinary medical services, positively impacting the livestock sector in Iraq.
  4. Expanding the number of lecture halls and equipping them with cooling and air-conditioning systems, as well as modern teaching tools such as projectors and display screens, to facilitate lecture delivery. Completing the furnishing and maintenance of the college building with all necessary requirements is also a priority.
  5. Organizing scientific conferences, seminars, courses, and workshops, which play a significant role in educating faculty members, administrative staff, students, and stakeholders in the labor market.
  6. Establishing dedicated farms for the rearing of cattle, sheep, and poultry, as well as facilities for housing laboratory animals used in scientific experiments and research for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  7. Strengthening cooperation with colleges of veterinary medicine in other Iraqi universities to advance the standing of the college, thereby enhancing the scientific and research skills of faculty members.
  8. Pursuing twinning programs with universities and colleges outside Iraq to benefit from their expertise, including developing programs that allow for sending students on scholarships abroad for this purpose.
  9. In recent years, the college has launched several postgraduate (Master’s) programs, including Pathological Diagnostics, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Histology. Additionally, scientific studies are underway to open further Master’s programs in the fields of Public Health and Pathology.
