1. Providing opinions and advice on legal matters.
2. Preparing a study of various draft laws pertaining to the university and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and providing an opinion thereon.
3. Auditing contracts related to the college, providing an opinion on contracts submitted to the division by the college, and approving all types of contracts.
4. Representing the college before the competent courts and judicial authorities.
5. Following up on the mechanism for distributing and allocating land and housing units to members of the college affiliated with the ministry, and then contacting the university/Legal Affairs Department.
6. Contributing to committees requiring legal membership (General College Inventory, War Damage Inventory, Promotion and Allowance, Salary Determination, Accountability and Justice Committee,
7. Political Dismissals Committee, Expulsion Committee, Student Discipline Committee, Auction Committees, and contributing to the formation of committees referred to the Legal Investigation and Audit Division, and subsequently implementing the committee's recommendations).
