Human Rights Unit
Objectives
- Proposing plans, programs, and procedures to promote and protect human rights issues in public and private universities.
- Receiving complaints submitted by students or university affiliates within the field of specialization, studying them, and developing appropriate solutions to address them in coordination with the relevant authorities at the university. Additionally, establishing a database of audit and investigation committees related to human rights and updating the data periodically.
- Developing the legal awareness of students and university affiliates by disseminating a culture of human rights within university circles.
- Developing the skills of department employees and building their technical and scientific capacities through training, implementation, and rehabilitation programs and plans, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
- Enhancing cooperation with civil society organizations and institutions operating after obtaining proper approvals.
- Submitting the required periodic reports on the activities of university formations and verified achievements to the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Department (Human Rights Department).
- Contributing to the preparation of specialized studies and research in the field of human rights.
Performing any tasks and responsibilities required by the nature of the work or assigned by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Department.
