Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit

Objectives
  1. Develop an annual guidance plan that spans the academic year and is tailored to the needs of students in this area.
  2. Work to implement the guidance plan and evaluate it annually.
  3. Conduct individual and group guidance for students to provide assistance and resolve problems they face.
  4. Conduct group guidance in classes to discuss issues of concern to students, the community, or the college.
  5. Conduct vocational and educational guidance.
  6. Hold seminars and workshops with preventive, therapeutic, or developmental objectives in coordination with the Central Committee.
  7. Prepare guidance bulletins on psychological, educational, and behavioral topics.
  8. Discuss and address some of the negative phenomena prevalent among students.
  9. Utilize extracurricular activities as preventive and therapeutic methods for cases the counselor deals with.
  10. Hold guidance seminars for college professors on the importance of guidance and counseling and how to deal with students in an educational manner.
  11. Organize and implement records related to the guidance process.
  12. Conducting research and studies to identify the psychological and educational problems students suffer from.
  13. Providing advice to members of the Disciplinary Committee regarding the circumstances and status of the student referred to this committee, without the advisor attending committee meetings or participating in the decision-making process.
  14. Referring cases that exceed the advisor's capabilities and expertise to the relevant authorities.
  15. Guiding newly accepted students to understand the nature of university life and its requirements.
  16. Maintaining confidentiality of information.
  17. Establishing friendly relationships with students to increase trust.
