Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the University of Tikrit, an awareness seminar was held titled:
“The Crime of Drug Abuse: Its Causes, Effects, and the Position of Iraqi Legislation”, as part of the activities of the World Anti-Drug Week.

The seminar addressed several key topics, including:
🔹 The psychological and social factors leading to drug abuse
🔹 The health, behavioral, and legal consequences of drug use
🔹 The stance of Iraqi legislation on the crime of drug abuse and the associated penalties
🔹 The importance of awareness in combating this phenomenon and protecting the university community
The event was attended by a number of faculty and administrative staff members, who enriched the discussion with their valuable contributions, emphasizing the importance of confronting this global issue through legal and health-oriented education.
This seminar comes as part of the College’s efforts to enhance community awareness and promote positive behavior, aiming to protect youth from risks that threaten their future.
