As part of its educational and awareness activities, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit held a seminar titled “Financial and Administrative Corruption”, presented by Assistant Lecturer Baraa Mohammed Hamash and Mr. Ammar Abdul Kareem Araibi, with the attendance of several faculty and administrative staff members.
The seminar addressed several key topics, including the concept of financial and administrative corruption, its causes, types, and negative impacts on institutions and society. It also discussed mechanisms and means of combating corruption by promoting the values of integrity, accountability, and a strong culture of institutional governance.
This seminar aimed to raise the administrative and ethical awareness of staff members and to emphasize the importance of transparency and good governance within the university environment — in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to promote integrity and combat corruption in academic institutions.
