College of Veterinary Medicine Hosts the Research Audit Committee for Studies Submitted to External Experts

 The College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University hosted the committee responsible for auditing research papers submitted to external experts in scientific disciplines, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nihad Abdulhussein Jaafar, Head of the Scientific Promotions Committee at the College. This initiative comes within the framework of enhancing research quality and advancing academic output.

During its meeting, the committee discussed the scientific and methodological mechanisms adopted for auditing research prior to its referral to external experts. These mechanisms include assessing the originality of the research and the novelty of its topic, the accuracy of the methodological design, the soundness of statistical analysis, and the rigor of results and conclusions. The committee also reviewed the extent to which the research complies with research ethics and the publication standards approved by reputable scientific journals. Emphasis was placed on unifying auditing criteria in line with the scientific promotion regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to ensure fairness and transparency in evaluation.

The committee affirmed the importance of adopting precise and clear mechanisms that contribute to raising the standard of submitted research and enhancing the reliability of its scientific outcomes. This, in turn, positively reflects on the academic reputation of the College and the University, and supports researchers in publishing their work in journals with recognized impact factors.
