In line with the vision and mission of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit to enhance students’ scientific and technical skills, the Department of Physiology, Pharmacology, and Biochemistry organized a scientific visit for first-year students to Pharma Laboratories in Tikrit City, accompanied by faculty members and teaching assistants from the department.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with advanced laboratory environments, where they were introduced to modern laboratory equipment and their operational methods, thereby strengthening the students’ technical skills. The tour included detailed explanations provided by faculty members and specialized staff at Pharma Laboratories regarding the functioning of the equipment and the key tests conducted. Emphasis was placed on the role of such technologies in developing students’ practical competencies.
This visit comes as part of the college’s recommended program of scientific field trips, designed to enable students to connect theoretical knowledge acquired in lectures with practical, real-world applications.
