Continuation of External Veterinary Clinic Services for Security Forces in Salah al-Din Province

As part of its ongoing role in serving the community and state institutions, the External Veterinary Clinic Unit of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit received several veterinary cases from the security forces, where examinations and treatments were provided by the unit’s specialized medical staff. The cases included:

  • Receiving a deceased dog from the Salah al-Din Police Command, which underwent a post-mortem examination and pathological autopsy. The results revealed liver and kidney failure as the primary cause of death.

  • Examination of two police dogs belonging to the Energy Police. The first dog was suffering from an ear infection, while the second exhibited intermittent diarrhea.

  • Receiving two additional police dog cases from the Salah al-Din Police Command. The first had skin lesions, while the second was diagnosed with rectal inflammation.

All cases were accurately diagnosed, and the necessary treatments and health guidelines were prescribed for each, ensuring rapid recovery and restoration of functional efficiency for these animals that play a vital role in supporting security and stability.

These efforts come within the framework of joint cooperation between the college and security institutions, reflecting the college’s commitment to providing advanced veterinary services free of charge, alongside scientific and practical support in the service of the public good.
