In response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit organized on Sunday, August 3, 2025, a moment of silence in front of the college building to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for the Genocide against the Yazidis and other components, and in honor of all the martyrs of Iraq.
The commemoration, which included a minute of silence, was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noami, who had also previously participated in the event organized by the University Presidency, along with the Associate Deans, the Heads of the scientific departments, and the college staff including faculty and employees. The gathering served as an expression of solidarity with the victims of genocide and as a remembrance of the tragedies endured by integral communities of the Iraqi people.
This observance reflects the commitment to fostering a culture of coexistence and peace, a reaffirmation of the rejection of all forms of violence and extremism, and a reminder of the national and humanitarian duty to support just causes and stand with victims and their families.
