The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit welcomed a high-level committee from the University Presidency as part of discussions on the mechanisms and standards of national institutional accreditation for Iraqi higher education institutions. This step aims to support the pursuit of quality and enhance academic performance across universities.
The visiting committee consisted of:
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Fouad Farhan Hussein** – Dean of the College of Administration and Economics
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Kifah Abbas Muhimid** – College of Administration and Economics
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Maher Saleh** – Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics
- Prof. Dr. Arkan Mohammed Bur’a** – Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, University Presidency
- Prof. Dr. Abdul Khaliq Suleiman Khalaf** – Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, University Presidency
The committee was received by **Prof. Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noami**, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, and **Asst. Prof. Dr. Muntasir Mohammed Hilal**, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. The visiting delegation extended their congratulations to the college on its recent achievement of programmatic accreditation for Iraqi veterinary colleges—an outstanding scientific milestone and a key reason for selecting the college as an active representative within the taskforce established to fulfill the requirements and standards of institutional accreditation.
For his part, the Dean expressed the college’s full readiness to accomplish the responsibilities entrusted to it with efficiency and professionalism, affirming its commitment to implementing institutional quality standards in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
