The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit welcomed the Ministerial Committee for Evaluating the Academic and Scientific Reality of the college. The committee was received by Prof. Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noami, Dean of the College; Asst. Prof. Dr. Montaser Mohammed Hilal, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Osama Hamid Shihab, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Sultan, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division.
The committee conducted an extensive field tour covering all vital sections of the college, where they reviewed the scientific laboratories and their readiness to support the students’ practical and applied learning, the college library and its collection of up-to-date scientific resources, the examination committee and its workflow, and the postgraduate studies division and its academic and administrative procedures. The visit also included the documentation unit, the academic promotion division, as well as a review of the approved curricula, teaching methodologies, and learning outcomes adopted by the college in its programs.
The ministerial committee praised the significant improvements in the college’s infrastructure and its commitment to implementing quality standards in education, emphasizing the importance of continued academic and technical support to enhance the college’s competitiveness at both the national and regional levels.
On the sidelines of the visit, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, President of the University of Tikrit, met with the committee members, expressing the university’s full support for academic evaluation and development efforts across all its colleges. He commended the committee’s visit, reaffirming that the University of Tikrit places great emphasis on strengthening academic education, advancing scientific research, and providing a modern academic environment that keeps pace with contemporary developments.
