Professor Bashar Sadiq Noami, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit, participated in the Second International and Third National Conference on Veterinary Sciences, held at the College of Veterinary Medicine – University of Diyala under the theme:
“Veterinary Medicine: A Source for a Healthy Environment and Sustainable Development.”
The conference witnessed the participation of researchers and academics from various Iraqi and Arab universities.
The Dean also attended the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Iraqi Colleges of Veterinary Medicine, which was held on the sidelines of the conference, in the presence of the President of the National Council for Programmatic Accreditation of Veterinary Medicine Colleges in Iraq and several deans.
During the meeting, the attendees discussed several key topics on the agenda, most notably:
1️⃣ The establishment of a Ph.D. program in Veterinary Medical Sciences / Veterinary Microbiology at the College of Veterinary Medicine – Al-Shatra University.
2️⃣ The establishment of a Ph.D. program in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery / Veterinary Anatomy and Histology at the College of Veterinary Medicine – University of Al-Qadisiyah.
3️⃣ Opening nominations for the position of Vice President of the Committee of Deans of Veterinary Medicine Colleges.
4️⃣ Discussing the implementation mechanism of the two-semester system in the second stage according to the Bologna Process and the semester system.
In his remarks, Professor Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noami emphasized that such meetings and conferences are essential for unifying academic visions and strengthening scientific collaboration among veterinary colleges in Iraq. He also noted that the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit continues to support the advancement of scientific research and academic accreditation, in line with the goals of development and the enhancement of the veterinary profession in the country.
