The College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University, in collaboration with the College of Political Science, celebrated the graduation of its 16th cohort, titled “Lions of Mesopotamia,” in the presence of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of the University, Professor Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noumi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, and Professor Dr. Qasim Alwan Saeed, Dean of the College of Political Science, along with faculty members from both colleges, graduating students, and their families, in a distinguished celebratory atmosphere.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech from the University President, who emphasized the importance of veterinary medicine in safeguarding public health and highlighted the role of political science in addressing societal challenges. He praised the efforts of the colleges in advancing academic standards, particularly the achievement of programmatic accreditation by the College of Veterinary Medicine and its contribution to the University’s institutional accreditation.
The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine also delivered a speech expressing pride in the graduates, congratulating them on their accomplishment, and commending their dedication throughout their years of study, while wishing them continued success in their professional careers.
The ceremony included the presentation of honorary shields by the College Deanship and the representative of fifth-year students to the University President, followed by the distribution of graduation certificates to the students by the President, amid an atmosphere of joy and pride.
The event concluded with a group photograph bringing together the University President and the graduates, commemorating this significant milestone in their academic journey.
