The Deanship of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University held an expanded meeting with faculty members to mark the start of the new academic year. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noumi, Dean of the College; Assistant Professor Dr. Muntaser Muhammad Hilal, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Hamid Shihab, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs; and Assistant Professor Saad Sabbar Nassif, Secretary of the College Council. The Dean began the meeting with a speech welcoming the faculty, wishing them a successful and productive academic year. He emphasized the importance of cooperation and teamwork to advance the college's academic and scientific level. The meeting addressed several important topics, most notably: dividing lectures to achieve a balance between theoretical and practical requirements; emphasizing the importance of enhancing the practical and applied aspects of lectures to provide students with the necessary experience and skills; discussing mechanisms for implementing institutional accreditation standards and ensuring the quality of education; and examining some administrative and organizational aspects related to the progress of the educational process. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean emphasized the need to redouble efforts to achieve a distinguished academic year that contributes to providing society with solid scientific competencies capable of serving the veterinary medicine sector.
