Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tikrit, and in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, the college organized an educational seminar titled “Drug Addiction and Methods of Recovery.”
The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Seham Ajmi Wadi and Prof. Dr. Wasan Sarhan Ubaid.
The seminar covered several important topics, including the definition of drug addiction, its causes and contributing factors, as well as the symptoms and health and social complications resulting from it. It also reviewed the latest methods of treatment, recovery, and psychological support for individuals overcoming addiction.
The event was held at Dr. Muhannad Maher Hall in the college and was attended by a number of faculty and staff members, who praised the relevance and depth of the discussion.
They emphasized that such activities play a vital role in spreading social awareness, combating negative phenomena, and promoting healthy behavior among students and the academic community.
