Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit, the College organized a scientific awareness workshop entitled “Social Engineering and Electronic Phishing.” The workshop was presented by Asst. Lecturer Sawsan Ali Hamed and Asst. Lecturer Saba Hussein Rashid.
The workshop addressed several key topics, including an introduction to social engineering attacks and their impact on internet users, an explanation of phishing techniques and the psychological and technical tactics used to deceive victims, as well as a review of preventive measures and digital protection strategies to reduce the risks of such attacks.
The event was held in the Seminar Hall of the College and was attended by a number of faculty and staff members who emphasized the importance of such workshops in enhancing cybersecurity awareness and promoting a safe and responsible digital culture within the academic community.
