Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tikrit, and in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, the college organized a scientific symposium entitled “Water Footprint.” The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ziyad Tareq Omar in Dr. Muhannad Maher Hall, with the attendance of several faculty and staff members.
The symposium covered several scientific and awareness-raising topics focusing on the concept of the water footprint, its importance, and its environmental and economic impacts. It also discussed the causes of its increase and the problems resulting from it, presenting a set of scientific proposals and solutions aimed at mitigating its negative effects and promoting the optimal use of water resources.
This symposium reflects the college’s commitment to raising scientific and environmental awareness, promoting sustainability, and protecting natural resources, in line with the University of Tikrit’s vision of supporting applied scientific research and community service.
