College of Veterinary Medicine Holds a Scientific Workshop on Health Indicators in Cattle and Diagnostic Methods for Common Diseases

 The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, organized a scientific workshop titled:
“Examination of Health Indicators in Cattle and Diagnostic Methods for Common Diseases.”
The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Omar Al-Thani Shareef Saeed, Dr. Jasim Mohammed Suleiman, and Asst. Lecturer Abdulqader Hadi Qadouri.

The workshop was held in the animal house laboratories and covered several key training topics, including:

  • Clarification of normal health indicators in cattle and how to observe them clinically.

  • Comparing normal signs with pathological signs associated with a number of common livestock diseases.

  • Practical training on examination and diagnostic methods using the available clinical tools and techniques.

  • Enhancing students’ skills in distinguishing between healthy and diseased cases and making initial diagnostic decisions.

The workshop was attended by several faculty members, technicians, and a group of students who participated in the practical applications inside the laboratory, contributing to strengthening their hands-on experience and linking theoretical knowledge to real field cases.

This workshop comes as part of a series of scientific activities conducted by the college to develop students’ skills and enhance professional competency in dealing with internal diseases in cattle.
