The College of Veterinary Medicine Holds a Scientific Seminar Entitled “Diuretics”

 The College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at Tikrit University, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Diuretics.” The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Ibrahim Qahtan Naji and Lecturer Hadeel Mahdi Hussein, and was attended by a number of faculty members and students.

The seminar addressed several important scientific topics, most notably the definition of diuretics and their mechanisms of action within the body, the different types of diuretic drugs and their uses in both medical and veterinary fields, as well as their physiological effects on maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance. The seminar also discussed the major clinical conditions that require the use of diuretics, in addition to potential side effects and the appropriate methods for managing them.

The seminar aimed to enhance scientific knowledge among students and those interested in the veterinary field, while highlighting the practical aspects of pharmaceutical agents used in therapeutic practices, thereby contributing to the development of their scientific and practical skills.
