The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine Holds an Awareness Seminar on Legal Awareness of Labor and Social Security Laws

The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University, in cooperation with the University’s Women’s Affairs Division, organized an awareness seminar entitled “Legal Awareness of Labor and Social Security Laws,” held at Dr. Muhannad Maher Hall.

The seminar was delivered by Professor Dr. Omaima Ibrahim Mahmoud and Lecturer Dr. Noor Adnan Azzawi. It addressed several key topics, most notably an introduction to labor and social security laws, the rights and duties of employees across various sectors, and the mechanisms for benefiting from social security services.

The seminar also discussed the importance of promoting legal awareness among students and employees, highlighting its role in protecting rights and fostering a safe and stable work environment. In addition, it shed light on the challenges facing the implementation of these laws and ways to address them.

The seminar was attended by a number of female faculty members, staff, and students, who actively engaged with its topics due to their significance in enhancing legal awareness within the university community.
