The Veterinary Clinic Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tikrit, received several poultry cases from neighboring poultry farms, under the supervision of Lecturer Ismail Ibrahim Hassan and with the participation of fifth-stage students as part of their field practical training.
During the visit, necropsy examinations were conducted on the affected birds to determine the causes of mortality and identify prevalent diseases, using precise scientific diagnostic methods. In addition, veterinary guidance was provided to farmers on disease prevention strategies and methods for improving poultry health and productivity.
These activities come as part of the college’s commitment to serving the agricultural and livestock sectors, and to enhancing students’ practical field experience, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified veterinary professionals capable of supporting and improving animal production in Salahaddin Governorate and beyond.
