The Outpatient Unit received a veterinary case belonging to the K-9 Police Dog Unit

The Outpatient Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University received a veterinary case belonging to the K-9 Police Dog Unit affiliated with the Salah Al-Din Police Command, for the purpose of conducting comprehensive routine medical examinations and ensuring the animal’s overall health status.

The examinations were carried out under the supervision of the College’s academic and veterinary medical staff. A full clinical assessment and the necessary laboratory tests were performed in accordance with approved veterinary standards to ensure the animal’s medical readiness to carry out its security duties.

The visit also witnessed active participation from final-year students as part of enhancing their practical and applied training. This provided them with a valuable opportunity to gain direct experience in handling specialized veterinary cases related to police dogs, which play an important role in security and public service sectors.

This step comes within the framework of the College’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with state institutions and to link academic knowledge with field application, thereby contributing to the preparation of veterinarians equipped with practical expertise and professional competence to serve the community.
