The Outpatient Clinic Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine Receives Cases of Police Dogs Belonging to the Counter-Terrorism Service

The Outpatient Clinic Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Tikrit University, received a number of police dog (K-9) cases belonging to the Counter-Terrorism Service, as part of institutional cooperation and in support of the country’s security sectors.

The necessary clinical examinations were conducted by the specialized academic and veterinary staff, including Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ghazi Atiyah and Assistant Professor Dr. Maher Saber Aween, in addition to veterinarians Saif Ahmed Suleiman and Yaseen Ayed Taher. The cases were accurately diagnosed, and the underlying causes of each condition were identified.

The veterinary team also provided the accompanying personnel with the required recommendations and guidance to ensure proper follow-up of treatment and to achieve optimal health outcomes for the animals.

The College reaffirms its ongoing commitment to providing veterinary and consultative services, as well as supporting security institutions—particularly as examination services at the Outpatient Clinic Unit are offered free of charge—within the framework of its academic and humanitarian role in serving the community and strengthening cooperation with various state institutions.
