Participation of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine in the Central Symposium on the Iraqi National Security Strategy 2025–2030

 Professor Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noami, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muntasser Mohammed Hilal, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, participated in the central symposium titled “The Iraqi National Security Strategy 2025–2030”, held in Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the College of Engineering.
The event was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and attended by Professor Dr. Hassan Hussein Ibrahim, the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University, as well as several deans, faculty members, and researchers.

The symposium opened with a speech by the university presidency emphasizing the importance of activating the role of universities in supporting comprehensive national strategies and promoting intellectual and societal security as a fundamental pillar in building the modern Iraqi state.

The symposium included two main axes:

First Axis: National Means and Policies to Achieve the Strategic Goals of Strengthening National Security
Presented by Professor Dr. Mohammed Hadi Shihab, faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences, this session discussed the most prominent proposed policies for achieving comprehensive national security and the practical means to implement them in alignment with the requirements of the modern Iraqi state.

Second Axis: The Fundamental Requirements for Implementing the Strategy and Achieving Its Goals
Presented by Professor Dr. Mohammed Shatab Aidan, faculty member at the College of Political Science, this session addressed the challenges facing the implementation of the strategy, as well as the key legislative, institutional, and human requirements necessary to ensure its effectiveness and sustainability.

Participants in the symposium affirmed that achieving national security does not rely solely on security institutions, but rather requires the integration of roles among academic, governmental, and societal entities. They praised Tikrit University for organizing such intellectual events that contribute to supporting national decision-making and enhancing stability in the country.

At the conclusion of the symposium, the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine expressed his pride in the college’s participation in this important scientific event, confirming that the college continues to play its national and academic role in serving society and advancing academic thought in line with the objectives of the National Security Strategy 2025–2030.
