The College of Veterinary Medicine Launches the Distribution of the Electronic University ID as Part of the Digital Transformation Project at Tikrit University

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University has begun distributing the electronic university ID cards issued through the HEPIQ application, which is integrated with the Student Information System (SIS) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to advance digital transformation and develop smart academic services.

Prof. Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noami, Dean of the College, personally handed several electronic IDs to students, emphasizing that this step reflects Tikrit University’s vision to unify digital systems for managing academic and administrative operations. He noted that the project aims to simplify procedures, enhance efficiency, and promote transparency in delivering university services.

The Dean explained that the electronic university ID serves as an official document verifying a student’s affiliation with the institution, enabling easy access to various university facilities and services. Beyond identification, the ID also functions as an independent electronic payment card, allowing use in multiple transactions both inside and outside the campus.

Key features of the electronic university ID include:

  • Access to university campuses and related facilities.

  • Conducting electronic financial transactions, such as paying tuition fees and issuing official documents or certifications.

  • Purchasing and shopping from vendors contracted with the university.

  • Exclusive discounts for cardholders at selected stores and service centers.

This initiative represents one of several developmental steps adopted by Tikrit University to strengthen its digital infrastructure and embrace technological innovation. It aims to support the educational process by providing a smart, secure, and advanced campus environment that meets the needs of both students and academic staff.
