The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit welcomed the Central Ministerial Committee for Institutional Accreditation of Iraqi Higher Education Institutions, as part of its field tour to evaluate the academic and administrative performance of colleges.
The committee was received by Prof. Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noami, Dean of the College, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Sultan, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, who warmly welcomed the members and presented a comprehensive overview of the college’s progress in fulfilling the requirements for institutional accreditation.
During the visit, the committee held an extensive meeting with the heads and members of the internal committees within the college, during which the documentation and evidence related to accreditation standards were reviewed. The meeting also included a discussion of proposals and observations that contribute to improving performance and achieving academic quality requirements.
The ministerial committee praised the high level of organization and precision in work at the college, commending the efforts made by the Dean’s Office and the relevant committees—particularly after the college obtained programmatic accreditation for Iraqi veterinary medicine colleges last July. The committee extended its best wishes for continued progress and success in the college’s journey toward institutional accreditation and academic excellence.
This visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to follow up on Iraqi universities’ implementation of quality and accreditation standards, and to reinforce the principles of sound institutional performance that align with global academic development.
