College of Veterinary Medicine Launches Awareness Campaign Titled “Drugs: The Most Dangerous Scourge of Society”

 As part of the Global Drug Awareness Week, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, organized an extensive awareness campaign titled “Drugs: The Most Dangerous Scourge of Society,” aimed at raising students’ awareness and promoting preventive measures.

The campaign was carried out by:

  • Prof. Dr. Wissan Sarhan Ubaid – Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit

  • Asst. Prof. Sawsan Ali Hamed – Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit

During the campaign, the organizers distributed educational brochures containing important information about:

  • The dangers of drug use and its physical and psychological effects

  • The devastating social consequences for individuals, families, and society

  • Methods of prevention and ways to seek help

  • The role of educational institutions in promoting awareness and combating this phenomenon

This campaign comes as part of the college’s commitment to protecting students, raising their awareness about risks that threaten their future, and reinforcing a culture of rejecting this dangerous phenomenon, which is considered one of the most significant challenges facing modern societies.
