As part of the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Tikrit University, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division at the University Presidency, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Gender-Responsive Budgeting: Toward More Equitable and Sustainable Financial Planning.”
The campaign aimed to introduce the concept of gender-responsive budgeting and highlight its role in achieving social justice and promoting economic sustainability, particularly in supporting women’s participation and empowerment in various fields, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The campaign included the distribution of awareness leaflets to female students, along with a simplified explanation of the concept of gender-responsive budgeting, its impact on fair financial planning, and how it positively reflects on the social and economic reality of women.
The campaign witnessed positive interaction from the students, who expressed clear interest in the topic, emphasizing the importance of such awareness activities in enhancing financial awareness and reinforcing the concepts of justice and equality within the university community.
