The College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University signs a joint scientific cooperation agreement with Kirkuk University

 In line with its ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation among higher education institutions in Iraq, the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement with the College of Veterinary Medicine at University of Kirkuk. This agreement aims to enhance the educational and research process and promote the exchange of scientific expertise between the two institutions.

The agreement was signed during a visit by Prof. Dr. Shahd Abbas Ali, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kirkuk, who was received by Prof. Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noumi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University. Her visit was in her capacity as Chair of the Master’s thesis defense committee of the student Al-Khizran Al-Muhallab Khalaf in the field of Microbiology.

The cooperation agreement covers several academic and scientific areas, most notably the implementation of joint research projects, the exchange of faculty participation in thesis defense committees and editorial boards of scientific journals, collaboration in teaching, organization of seminars and training courses, as well as the establishment of scientific camps and joint student competitions.

During the meeting, the two deans emphasized that this agreement represents an important step toward strengthening scientific integration among Colleges of Veterinary Medicine in Iraqi universities and supporting academic and research development. They noted that such collaboration will positively impact the quality of higher education outcomes and community service.

Both parties also expressed their appreciation for the efforts made to advance the scientific and academic landscape, affirming their aspiration to expand the horizons of joint cooperation in a manner that achieves their strategic objectives and contributes to the advancement of the veterinary profession in Iraq and its role in supporting sustainable development.
